Project: Teaching English I enjoyed living in Costa Rica the most, and of course seeing how happy the kids were to see me every day. My experience was perfect. Jennifer and Gilberto, my host family, were so nice. They made me feel like I was back home. Service from everyone at Maximo was great--truly excellent. This was by far the best experience of my life. To see the kids and how happy you can make them is the best feeling in the world. I would reccommend Maximo to anyone. Muy bien! Spanish lessons with Teddy were awesome. I cannot believe the amount of information he taught me in such a short time. Thank you so much!

Project: Turtle Project and Childcare I really enjoyed living with my host family and meeting other volunteers from around the world. My host family was absolutely wonderful. They were so warm and welcoming and feel at home right away. Jennifer went out of her way to make sure everything was good and flexible in letting me go/do whatever I wanted. I loved them! Heidy at Maximo Nivel was always there whenever I had questions (and I had A LOT of them). She'd always answer with a smile and take the time for me no matter how busy she was. Overall, the staff at Maximo Nivel were great and my experience was amazing. Thank you for everything.

Project: Childcare/Orphanage The children were the best part of my project. The family-stay was excellent--Daisy is awesome! She has become my second mom to me. Food was delicious and the distance to the Maximo Nivel office was just close enough. Heidy, Nate, and Giovanna at Maximo Nivel--you guys rock! Luis and Maritza at the snack bar are awesome--thank you for all the water and coffee! Words cannot describe how wonderful this experience was for me. Teddy, my Spanish teacher, my host mom, and all the people at Maximo were simply amazing. Thank you all for this opportunity. I will miss you all.

Project: Construction I really enjoyed meeting like-minded people. The host family and the service from Maximo Nivel were both excellent. Rita, my host mom, was awesome! The food was good, the place was very clean, and the neighborhood was good too. The experience as a whole was phenomenal, but I wish I would have know how little English people here speak, I would have tried to learn harder before coming. Thank you to Maximo for all your guidance and opportunity to work here. Keep up the top notch work. Love you all.

I also enjoyed opportunities to teach medical students how healthcare is practiced in the U.S. Living accommodations exceeded my expectations, and the service from Maximum Level was excellent—very helpful, and responsive.
Abby & Reed Haggerty—Volunteers Project: Teaching English The kids at the orphanage were amazing. We were not sure what to expect, but when we arrived the girls immediately greeted us with hugs and kisses. It was very rewarding to go and work with people who really appreciated us so much. The kids were always so excited to see us. We were supposed to be teaching them English, but we think they taught us more Spanish! This was one of the most fulfilling experiences of our lives. Liz Mohan—Volunteer Project: Construction & Orphanage This was really good volunteer experience. I loved my family-stay—Marco and Yoko have become like family to me. Maximum Level does a great job helping you adjust to the Peruvian culture and lifestyle. The staff is always quick, they're easy to contact and eager to help. It's basically impossible to have a bad experience living, working, and learning in Cusco, Peru. You'll make lots of friends, take pictures, explore, be yourself, and have the time of your life!

Nathanael Lichty—Volunteer Project: Childcare & Conservation The overall experience and volunteer work was excellent. The service from Máximum Level was always prompt, kind, and very helpful. Tatianna Katzopoulos & Alexis Klein—Volunteers Project: Orphanage Our experience was great. Máximum Level made us feel welcome from the beginning and it was very comforting to know there was always someone to go to for help. The staff never seemed put out by our queries and problems. The food was excellent and it was nice to be close to our projects. Jessica and Jonathan were great and made our travels easy and enjoyable. Eliza was really fantastic and went out of her way to help us. Our Spanish teacher had a great sense of humour and was very patient. Máximum Level was a busy place, but always felt like "home base" and the staff were fantastic. Robert Claytour—Volunteer Project: Animal Care I enjoyed the people at Maximum Level, PATAS, and the zoo most, especially Eliza, Jessica, Jonathan, and our Spanish teachers Jorge and Tania. The family we stayed with was very warm, helpful, fun, and welcoming; though the hot water could have been better [“hot water, what hot water?”] The staff at Maximum Level were always responsive, helpful, and full of insight. Tania and Jorge gave me the best Spanish instruction I’ve ever received. Máximum Level was a fun place to be and I always looked forward to dropping by. I’d like to extend a special thanks to Eliza for helping my son when he got sick—I did not expect such commitment from the staff. Lourda Scott—Volunteer Project: Construction & Teaching English The best thing was getting to see the “real side” of Cusco not just being a tourist. The people running the guest house were lovely and the place was spotless. The staff at Maximum Level were excellent. Tori Payne—Volunteer Project: Medical/Healthcare The people at my placement is what I enjoyed the most. Being with incredibly kind and helpful people at the project; and they taught me so much. I loved The Family House—they made me feel so safe and cared for. I was very impressed by how quickly the Peru [Maximum Level] team responded to any problem. They really cared. :-) Nicole Stark—Volunteer Project: Childcare I enjoyed the children at my project the most. The Family House was awesome!! Carlene, Eliza, and Chris were so accomodating with everything and couldn't have been more helpful.
Angie Arreaga—Volunteer Project: Childcare I enjoyed getting involved with the people the most. I loved the people at The Family House—always friendly, helpful, and supportive. Everyone at Maximum Level makes an effort to get to know you and make that everything is on track. Ana Maria, my Spanish teacher, was EXCELLENT. She is an amazing individual and I learned so much; actually I was inspired. Tons of friendly people at Maximum Level. Jason & Christina Michaels—Volunteer Project: Teaching English Getting to meet and interact with the children was the best part. We loved the Salazar family-stay—it's the quintessential homestay. Norma was a wonderful Spanish teacher, and we ended up having 2 private sessions! Overall, Maximum Level is a very well-run office. Eliza and Chris gave me loads of help and useful advice—they're dynamos! Benjamin Menyebier—Volunteer Project: Community Center/Childcare I enjoyed everthing about my volunteer experience. Living accomodations were excellent, though I didn't like the marching band that passed the house at 8:30AM. The service from Maximum Level was excellent. Norma, my Spanish teacher, was excellent—the best Spanish teacher I've ever had.
Elna Munson—Volunteer Project: School This program was great and nothing could have made it any more enjoyable. I enjoyed just being with the kids and watching them learn the most. I also loved the friendships I made. Living accomodations were excellent and they made me feel right at home, and were right there if I needed anything. Service from Maximum Level was also excellent. Someone was always there to answer my questions—all are very friendly. Facilities at Maximum Level were excellent and it was a great environment to be in. THANKS to all you guys! Caitlin Kibbey—Volunteer Project: Medical/Healthcare The doctors were all nice and I got to see diseases that are very rare in the U.S. The staff at Maximum Level are excellent. Everyone was great, attentive, and friendly. Frank Han—Volunteer Project: Medical/Healthcare I was a volunteer nurse and got to help with triage and all other nursing activities. I can't think of anything that would have made it better. It was everything I wanted out of the my volunteer experience. The housing was excellent—I liked every part of it. Service from Maximum Level was excellent. I really appreciated their help. My Spanish teacher, Magda, was excellent; she was a lot of fun. Orlando Suero—Volunteer Project: Medical/Healthcare The most rewarding part of the experience was helping at a center that caters to the destitute Andean population. I really enjoyed living with my Peruvian family. They really helped me and the other volunteers at the house to make sure we didn't over-spend on things, and helped make sure we saw the best places to see in Cusco. The Maximum Level staff were excellent, very nice, and extremely helpful. They were very well informed on the intracacies of the area. The Maximum Level facilities were also excellent. I didn't really end up using them a lot, but it was a relief to know that whenever I needed them, there was help and Internet access 24hrs a day. The snack bar was a nice perk too.
